Squarespace

Add Sprig to Squarespace

Two minutes, no developer. We'll use Squarespace's built-in Code Injection so the share buttons appear on every page automatically.

Step 1 · Copy this

Your one-line snippet

This is the only code you'll paste. Logged in? Your API key is already baked in. Otherwise the buttons still work — just untracked until you add a key.

<script src="https://cdn.sprigshare.com/share.js?key=YOUR_API_KEY&api=https%3A%2F%2Fsharewidget-api-988645448815.us-central1.run.app" async></script>

Where it goes: Settings → Advanced → Code Injection → the Footer box (for site-wide buttons). For a single page, use a Code Block instead.

Heads up: Code Injection requires a paid Squarespace plan (Core or higher). On the free trial or a Personal plan, add the snippet to one page with a Code Block instead — add a block, choose “Code,” set it to HTML, and paste the snippet there.

2

Open your Squarespace settings

From your site dashboard, click the Settings gear in the left-hand menu. This is where Squarespace keeps the option to add custom code to your whole site.

3

Go to Advanced → Code Injection

Inside Settings, scroll to the “Advanced” section and click “Code Injection.” You’ll see two text boxes: Header and Footer.

4

Paste the snippet into the Footer box

Paste your snippet (from Step 1 above) into the Footer box. The footer loads on every page, so your share buttons will appear site-wide. Click Save in the top-left.

5

Preview your live site

Open your published site (not the editor preview) and scroll to where the buttons render. If you don’t see them right away, hard-refresh the page. Done!

That's it — your shares are now tracked.
